Debian 12 “bookworm” is now available
Debian 12 “bookworm” was released on June 10th and is now available in the IntoVPS cloud.
Debian is among the oldest and most popular Linux distributions for server and desktop environments.
Debian 12 “bookworm” includes Gnome 43, Apache 2.4.57, PHP 8.2, PostgreSQL 15, PostgreSQL 15, Nginx 1.22, and many new packages. The good news is the decision to include non-free firmware since drivers are one of the major pain points for Linux desktop users. Debian 12 will be supported, receiving updates and bug fixes, for the next 5 years.
“The decision was made last October by a vote among Debian’s developers, who decided to include non-free firmware by default in the Debian installer. So we only can add – a smart move in the right direction because this change will make Debian feel more “whole” out of the box.”
